“Ellen’s Third Song” was composed by Franz Schubert in 1825 as part of his Opus 52, a setting of seven songs from Walter Scott’s popular epic poem The Lady of the Lake. It is one of Schubert’s most famous pieces and has been recorded by many singers under the title of “Ave Maria”, in arrangements with different lyrics which vary from the original context of the poem.

The video below features a jaw-dropping performance of Ave Maria. This busker might not have any recording contracts or gigs on her hand, but she has a mind-blowing voice. A tourist managed to capture her performing in the streets of Santiago de Compostela, Spain and it is unbelievable to say the least! I am still confused as to why she isn’t famous yet!

Watch her effortless performance below! Did you enjoy this as much as we did? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
